I greatly enjoyed reading this prelude to Broken Mirror, which I’m currently in the middle of and loving. It was interesting to see a completely different side of Mia—sympathetic and caring, as opposed to the champion of ableist ideals that she presents as in the sequel. I also loved seeing young Victor, and wish I could have read even more about him as a small child. My only qualm is that the dates in this prelude don’t match up exactly with the dates in the sequel, but that is only a minor annoyance, and does not detract from the overall story. I highly recommend this series, and you should definitely start with this prelude.Product details

This was a fantastic prelude to Broken Mirror. I love seeing young Victor because I wanted to know him better after finishing Broken Mirror. It's a great start for what happened in Carmichael. I can't wait for the next book!
